About LSAWA

74 years of representing WA’s independent liquor retailers.

The Liquor Stores Association of Western Australia is the not-for-profit peak body for all independent licensed liquor stores in WA. We’ve stood up for our members in front of government, media and the community since 1952.

Our purpose

A representative voice for the WA independent.

The Association’s purpose is to represent the interests of packaged liquor store retailers in Western Australia by encouraging and promoting a responsible, sustainable and diverse packaged liquor industry.

The Liquor Stores Association of Western Australia (LSAWA) is the not-for-profit peak body that represents the interests of all independent licensed liquor stores in Western Australia. Liquor stores are the dominant sector of the liquor trade, with more than 65 per cent of package liquor retail sales made through liquor stores.

Established in 1952, LSAWA has a proud history of standing up for the best interests of its members, providing them with a strong voice to government and the community.

In the past 18 months, LSAWA has made a conscious decision to move away from representing chain liquor stores controlled by corporate giants and instead be a true, representative voice for independent liquor stores which are run by WA families.

We celebrate the economic and social benefits our members deliver to community — and we advocate for sensible and fair regulation of the packaged liquor industry.
